As part of the VE Day celebrations in Henley, we were proud to contribute a beautiful bouquet of flowers, presented to a very special resident who was born on VE Day itself!
Her reaction said it all — she was absolutely thrilled, and the moment was made even more special with the heartfelt applause of around 60 local residents gathered to mark the occasion.
Adding to the nostalgic atmosphere, three lovely ladies (pictured) delighted the crowd by performing a selection of classic wartime songs, filling the air with memories and music from a treasured era.
It was a moving tribute to our history, filled with smiles, song, and community spirit — and we were so pleased to play a small part in it.
